Ok, first of all before I start my raving, let me just say this is a very fine shot of an F-35.. I do gather they are loud yes..
Now.. I have personal dislike of this aircraft (they call it the Lightning II in the UK which I find insulting). Everything about it is wrong.. Its a giant corporate monster that's so late and so over budget we (the UK) now have two Carriers sitting almost completed with NO aircraft to operate on them.. Why because this this ain't ready!
So much is broken or not 100% yet its stupid and they plough on regardless.. An F-16A has beaten it in a fly off - was that not good enough a warning? Thats an A not the latest version..
To think we scrapped the Harrier so we could have this and then it never arrived.. Lovely, how nice!
Now enough said..
As I said that is my personal view and I am VERY Harrier Pro.. I grew up with them and still miss them.. You are lucky to still have them, enjoy em..
